Imperfect action is the best next step

I love this concept:

It’s not about the next perfect step, it’s about the next RIGHT step. So often people sabotage themselves by wanting the next steps to be perfect. Which in life they rarely are.

It’s about moving closer and closer, and finding the best in where you are now. Once we reach “perfect” often times we want something different at that point anyway .

How many of you all feel like you have waited to launch a program, make the move, quit your job, leave a relationship, write the book, etc., until it’s the right moment? We get so caught up in the pursuit of perfection that we prohibit ourselves from taking meaningful actions.

The truth is that it’s not about finding the next perfect step—it’s about choosing the next right step.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the trap of overthinking (guilty!). The desire for perfection can be paralyzing and prevent you from embracing opportunities—consequently, stunting your growth.

Life is rarely linear, and I think our path to success is filled with twists and turns. Rather than waiting for the perfect moment, let’s embrace the idea that imperfection is just a part of the journey.

However flawed you think your next step is, the point is you’re taking the next step.

Imperfection is truly a key part of the journey.

The choices you make should be based on where you are right now, not where you think you should be. Because once you reach where you think you want to be, chances are your aspirations will have evolved and goals changed.

By focusing on the next right step, you give yourself grace to change your mind. You allow yourself the flexibility to adapt and change as you grow.

I invite you to celebrate the journey!!! The small steps. You know, the ones that feel like you're hardly moving, but you are. Acknowledge the courage it takes to step outside of your comfort zone, and trust that every action you take is moving you forward.
