Embrace the Slow Seasons

I know we’re all afraid of the slow seasons. We crave them, but when they are actually here, it’s another story.

It’s so tough – society programs us to feel really good about ourselves when we’re super productive, our schedules packed, our social calendar popping off… But what about when we’re tired? How can we love ourselves even when we’re not booked and busy?

Sometimes life slows us down for a reason.

If you’ve been feeling really tired lately and just craving a ton of sleep, or maybe you just want to veg in front of the TV instead of doing your nightly manifestation work… listen up: this isn’t a bad thing! We’re not designed to be on autopilot 24/7!!

Recently, I’ve noticed a recurring theme that there's often a mix of guilt and burnout when work (or life) slows down. It seems that while we might feel pressured to be constantly productive, we also find ourselves feeling drained because we aren’t allowing for downtime.

Here’s the thing: It’s perfectly okay (and IMO, essential!) to experience slower periods. It’s normal to have days when you’re not bursting with motivation or when you’re not in full-on work mode. Embracing these slower seasons and allowing yourself to rest without guilt is SO healthy and will actually make you more productive long-term.

I want you to think about how loving it would be to your body to just let it rest and recharge instead of always pushing. Here are some resources to inspire this change:

Remember, you’re meant to live your life fully, not just work it. Slower seasons are not failures; they’re opportunities to listen to your body and give it what it needs.

Embrace these moments without guilt, and savor the balance between productivity and rest.
